The Beginnings

The Chromatique Institute was established in 1995 and was mainly involved with researching Information Theory, psycho-acoustics, musicology (specific computer applications) as well as publishing specialized sheet music. Since the year 2000, our  direction changed somewhat and we began concentrating our activities on a natural outflow of ideas that emerged from the studies with Information Theory and the tendency in humans to resonate with the structures that permeate our existence, and which form the basis of our being and serves as framework for what we perceive as our reality. It is increasingly evident that our perceptions in life, and the manner in which we deal with life's events is predominantly governed by man's state of mind, and that a relaxed mind in equilibrium usually lends itself to more positive and creative outcomes in most situations. In modern times, with its many crises, this state of mind is often lost in the life's noise, and we need to make use of ways to regain control over our thinking activities.

New Horizons

It was with the above thoughts in mind that we began actively researching, developing and publishing audio brainwave entrainment processes as well as related aspects such as hypnotic inductions, the effectiveness of affirmations, and other related fields. An important element of our activities is to make available to the public those technological resources that will enable the individual to benefit mentally and spiritually most from what we have to offer. Our attention has been, and still is, with providing assistance with generic problems, such as insomnia, anxiety, etc, but more so to assist with the adjustment specific personal situations, such as, amongst many others, a low self esteem, overcoming mental blockages or resistance to creative thoughts. Although our resources include a multitude of basic and standardized products, we pride ourselves in the fact that we are able to customize virtually any Brainwave session to the needs of the user, and therefore stress the need to have exhaustive consultations with those who may need specialized products and adaptations.

Our operational philosophy

The activities of the Institute is mainly consultative in nature and we prefer to serve the public by means of publications, research and development. This web site is meant to be an adjunct to the activities of the Chromatique Institute, and not a shop through which products are traded.

In recent years I have often visited web sites that promised spiritual growth, answers to many questions, revelations of secrets, methods of self development and so on. With few exceptions, these all turn out be excessively hyped, high-pressure ,sales sites, that offer you free material only after you have provided your name and email address. Normally that is followed by a barrage of daily/weekly sales hype - spam. The "spiritual growth" or other developmental product is usually no more than a rehash of someone else's rehash, and material taken from books that date back to the beginning of the 20th century, and are often longer in print. The ultimate aim usually is access to your money, and repeatedly so. The Chromatique Institute is not a business in the sense of selling products. Our exclusive purpose is to do research and development and make such available to people in the most effective and convenient manner. All our research documents and articles are available freely from our website, and you will never have to pay for any information that we distribute . To gain access to such material, you do not even have to register or log in. We do ask you to register/log in if you would like to leave a comment or contribution in the blogs, and this is mainly to avoid too much spamming or abuse.

There is also a regular newsletter which is currently sent out once a month on a irregular basis. Again, the contents of the newsletter is to bring you news and information of fields related to our activities, and although we may mention certain specials or new products, that is kept to a minimum. Although our principle activities center around Brainwave Entrainment, scripted hypnosis and recorded affirmations, we also promote certain products and services that we think are beneficial to the individual as well as society as a whole, these include inspirational thoughts for the day, promotions of individuals who's work we think may be beneficial to those interested, as well as services that provide free reading material. This website is constantly under development, and positions of menus and modules may change every now and then. We now have a blog and a "frequently asked" section (FAQ), while direct links to relevant WIKI articles are available in almost all articles.
